Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S Android Smartphone

While the marriage between Sony and Ericsson has reached its conclusion, there are still newer smartphones coming out that still bears the names of both companies. And once again the practice of making an updated version of a smartphone released months earlier and slapping an “S” mark to its name seems to have become a popular strategy among manufacturers. One recent example is the re-release of the Xperia Arc smartphone, now aptly called the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S smartphone.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S still looks like its months-old predecessor from the outside. But the new version now comes with an upgraded 1.4GHz Qualcomm CPU. It also comes with Sony’s new 3D sweep panorama feature, allowing users to capture 3D stills that can be viewed from compatible 3D TV’s. The Sony Ericsson Xperia S runs on the Android OS and is now available in Europe with an off-contract price of around US$529.
